The Suffolk School Library Media Association (SSLMA) is the local affiliate for New York Library Association -  Section of School Librarians. 

It serves at the behest of its members, offering help and support keeping up with changes in learning standards, technology, pedagogy, and mandates.  SSLMA advocates for school librarians, offers grants for worthy technology and library projects, provides professional development opportunities and awards to ​administrators and librarians every year who exemplify best practice.
